Established in 2020, A Good Home Market is a furnishings & housewares pop-up shop and local-only online retailer. We lovingly curate one-of-a-kind vintage items and contemporary secondhand pieces to bring into your home. AGH Market is a collection of found objects, vintage sourcing, and consigned clients’ pieces through our full-service home organization and interior design company. We host in-person pop-up markets in the Connecticut countryside, as well as weekly online drops.
A Good Home Market originated as a platform to sell and re-home our clients’ unwanted furnishings and housewares (through our full-service home organization and interior design studio, A GOOD HOME) as a more sustainable and feel-good option than the typical “donation drop-off”. The market gave secondhand home furnishings and housewares a new life to those looking for high-end contemporary pieces for a fraction of retail. The first several markets took place in an 1805 post-and-beam barn, and we soon established regular seasonal markets. In addition to our clients’ consigned items, the market has expanded to include our own sourced vintage and found goods. In December 2023, we began regularly offering weekly online “vintage drops” on our Instagram for those looking to shop AGH Market year-round.
Vintage and secondhand furniture are green. The production of new furniture takes a real environmental toll through depletion of forests for materials, the consumption of energy in its manufacture, and the accompanying creation of waste products— all of which makes a wide carbon footprint and contributes in its own way to climate change. By shopping vintage and secondhand, you are extending the life cycle of furnishings and housewares, being kind to the planet, and saving money while doing so.

We search for these uniquely beautiful pieces, hand-selecting each item in the AGH Market’s vintage collection. Spending hours upon hours sifting through these character-filled pieces, we look for pieces of exceptional quality and inspiring designs. Each vintage rugs showcases light wear, whether along the edges of the textile or in charmingly sun-bleached hues. Vintage furniture brings a layer of storytelling to staple pieces throughout the home, be it a vintage dresser, bookcase, or coffee table. Our vintage pillows are particularly unique, curated as-is or crafted using pieces of stunning vintage fabric we’ve discovered mid-search. Vintage decor is a small but impactful way to layer old and new. This curated abundance of unique decor ranges from purposeful jars and canisters to whimsical decorative objects. Perhaps telling the most expressive story of all is our collection of one-of-a-kind vintage artwork, hand-selected for everything from subject matter to framing and finish.
